Program for visitors

Here you can find the upcoming program of our observatory, opening days and hours, lectures and expositions. Programs for another months (Czech only), price list of publications, articles from the publication Mesicnik and also informations about the Astronomical club, Astronomical course, and Astronomical society in Hradec Kralove are available.

Public opening days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. During the summer season (April to August) the evening performance starts at 20:00, evening observation then at 21:30. Additional performances are held on Saturdays - Public Observation of the Sun at 15:00 and Program for Children at 16:00. The detailed informations about programs are listed in the table below. From September till March the beginnings of the performances are one hour earlier - at 14:00, 15:00, 19:00, and 20:30. Admission 10,- to 45,- CZK according to the type of program and the age of the visitor. Program may be changed.

Astronomical club for children from 13 upto 15 years old meets every Wednesday (except holidays) from 16:00 o'clock. The detailed information is on a separate page http://www.astrohk.cz/krouzek/.

Astronomical course is held for high-school or university students, from October till June, every first Saturday from 8:00 o'clock (morning) Detailed information can be found on http://www.astrohk.cz/kurz/.

Astronomical society in Hradec Kralove helds meetings in the observatory every month on first Saturday at 10 o'clock (morning). The society is the publisher of the Povetron magazine. You can find further information on http://www.ashk.cz/ or http://www.astrohk.cz/ashk/.
